Welcome to the International Society for Twin Studies!
The International Society for Twin Studies (ISTS) wants to further research and public education in all fields related to twins and twin studies, for the mutual benefit of twins and their families and of scientific research in general. The Society was founded in Rome in 1974 and is an international, nonpolitical, nonprofit, multidisciplinary scientific organization.
The journal of the Society, Twin Research and Human Genetics, covers all areas of human genetics with an emphasis on twin studies, heritability, genetic epidemiology, psychiatric and behavioral genetics, and research on multiple birth in the field of epidemiology, genetics, endocrinology, fetal pathology, obstetrics and pediatrics.
